Our roommate is moving out of our house and this room will be available January 1st (possibly sooner) The portion of rent for the room is $1156 a month, in a 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom house. We are looking for someone who is looking to stay in the room for at least a year but the lease is month to month, which is rare to find. We're all working professionals in our late 20s-early 30s and would prefer a roommate in that range as well!
The bedroom had ample closet space. The bathroom is shared with the other downstairs roommate. The shared living room and kitchen have beautiful, warm natural light all day.
Our house is located in the Culver City Arts District in a cute tucked away little neighborhood - with direct access to the Ballona Creek bike path. Our street has plenty of street parking, plus our driveway fits two cars (it's typically whoever comes home first and parks in the driveway). We have a laundry room that’s coin operated (it’s pretty inexpensive - $1 for washer, $0.75 for dryer).
The utilities are shared amongst all four of us, depending on the time of year– I would say it's around $70-$100 (it’s more on the lower side) a month for electricity, wifi and gas. Another thing we share is house cleaning; House cleaning is $50 a month per person ($25 every time she comes). We have a cleaner who comes every two weeks on Fridays - therefore, the only house chore we really share is taking out the trash and taking the bins in (the house in front of us takes the bins in).
As far as the roommates in the house, all of us are pretty chill and keep to ourselves. There is also a small dog on site who’s super friendly and does his own thing. One of my roommates is allergic to cats so no cats and probably no more animals unfortunately 😅We all have different schedules and for the most part aren’t really home, but we'd say the house is pretty homey.
