I'm looking to fill a room in my apartment ideally this summer and take over the lease, as my current roommate is no longer able to afford her portion of rent. It's a 2bd, 2bth, with two balconies, a fireplace, central air/heat, hardwood floors, and a dishwasher! Located in Mar Vista, the neighborhood is lovely and very walkable. The apartment is gated and has underground parking (we would share a tandem spot and there is also frequently free street parking). Only bills we would pay is internet, gas, and electric. (I have around six more months of credit on gas, so you're saving a little there.) The total rent is $3,050, but being that I have the master bedroom, I pay $1,550; the other is responsible for $1,500. The apartment is pretty much entirely furnished, my roommate will be taking the coffee table and ottomans in the living room, but everything else is mine (and very vintage, so I hope you love the 60s/70s as much as I do!) I've attached photos of the apartment below, as well as the available bedroom and guest/your bathroom. A little about me: I'm first and foremost a writer, I value communication so dearly. I love reading a good book, enjoying a film, and going on a bike ride around the neighborhood to grab a coffee. I'm an operational manager for two cafes, so I'm naturally an early bird. I'm not much of a party girl, but I do love an occasional night out with a glass of wine. I've started some gardens on both balconies with herbs and veggies. I'm very clean and prefer a quiet home, but I love the sound of life taking place. I'm ultimately looking to share this space and enjoy co-living – having a dinner together, going to the beach, chatting after a long day ... being able to have a companionship even in a small capacity! Please note that I do have a two year old cat named Spirit, who is a total sweetheart. Not aggressive in any way. She loves playing tag with people and watching the birds through the windows.
