Hi there, my name is Octavia!
I’m looking for a warm, down-to-earth, and drama-free roommate to share my lovely apartment in Downtown Los Angeles. If you’re someone who values a comfortable, private, and friendly home environment, read on—we might be a perfect match!
About the Apartment:
$1400/ month or a touch over with utilities, and includes all this:
* Private bedroom with a walk-in closet and attached private bathroom, giving you your own retreat.
* An assigned parking spot
* in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a fully equipped kitchen
* central air and heating to keep things just right all year round (but honestly, we don't need to use it very much, leaving the patio door open usually is enough)
* balcony, with views over the courtyard, featuring bamboo, greenery, a hot tub, and the closer gym
* Speaking pf the gym: Two gyms, two pools, two hot tubs, wet and dry saunas, and even a private park!
* Walkable to the Fig at 7th mall (Target, restaurants, Gold’s Gym!) and minutes from Downtown.
* Your bedroom is extra quiet—not sharing walls directly with other apartments, and separated from mine by the entire living room.
A Little About Me:
I’m a creative who spends a lot of time at home, working on building my business, watching great documentaries and shows like Peaky Blinders or True Detective, or playing with my playful little cat, Anubis. (She’s a young Devon Rex, hypoallergenic as much as cats can be, and has a personality more like a dog!)
I have celiac disease, so I’m very sensitive to gluten. Unfortunately, this means I can’t have a roommate who loves regular glutenous baking or works with a lot of wheat flour, as it can easily spread and make me sick. That said, I have my own dishes and cookware, so it’s mostly just keeping our dishes separated in the sink and dishwasher - easy peezy.
I’m very much a night owl but have no problem with someone who’s more of a morning person—my last early-bird roommate and I got along great! I keep the apartment quiet at night and make sure it’s clean and welcoming. Most weekends, I’m away at my boyfriend’s place, so you’ll often have the apartment to yourself.
I’m easygoing, quick to laugh, and grew up on Looney Tunes—if that gives you a sense of my humor. I adore deep conversations and like to have a roommate, not as a necessity, but because I like having someone else to bump into, have the occasional conversation, catch up on life, etc. We all need a little community.
What I’m Looking For:
* Someone who’s friendly, reasonable, and financially stable.
* A roommate who values our home as a peaceful, private retreat—this is not the place for frequent visitors, extended stays, or couples living together.
* Ideally, a gay man or another woman, but I’m open to anyone who fits the vibe!
* Bonus points if you have a young cat that could be a playmate for Anubis! (The building allows another cat with an emotional support certification.)
I’d love a roommate who’s tidy and believes in resolving any issues with open, kind communication.
If This Sounds Like You:
Drop me a message and tell me a bit about yourself! I’d love to know your lifestyle, what you’re looking for in a roommate, and anything else you’d like to share. I truly believe it’s possible to create a wonderful, easygoing, and mutually respectful living arrangement, and I’m excited to find someone who feels the same.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Warmly,
Octavia
