Awesome shared house in Echo Park with private gym

Seeking sober individual (male preferred) for a terrific roommate situation offered in trendy Echo Park, available May 17. You’d live in a three-bedroom house with a large front yard and even bigger backyard that are maintained by a gardener and offer a tranquil setting with a fountain, hammocks and several different seating areas. You’d have a large unfurnished room (about 12x12), your own bathroom, and shared use of the living room, dining room, kitchen, all common areas. Laundry is also provided.
The backyard is also tricked out with an outdoor kitchen including BBQ, griddle station, pizza oven and smoker. Great outdoor dining table, lots of shade provided by several trees, a deck with two Adirondack chairs, a SoloStove fire pit and a wall dedicated to showing movies on a projector. As an added bonus, there’s also a well-equipped small gym I created in the garage that has a Peloton bike, a Bowflex machine, boxing equipment, TRX, benches and lots of free weights. There’s also a TV in the garage that has an Apple TV plugged in in case you like to follow a workout regimen from an app. We’re the only ones who have access to the garage and gym, of course.
About the location: we are located on a hill above Echo Park lake, half a block away from stairs that take you down to the lake. There’s ample street parking if you have a car and the area is pretty safe from break-ins because we’re up a hill. We are located very close to the Alvarado Street onramp for the 101 Freeway and Echo Park is a great location overall to get to downtown, Glendale, Pasadena, Hollywood, Koreatown, and Silverlake/Los Feliz within minutes. And Echo Park itself is a gem with terrific restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away.
About me: I’m a 50-year-old fun-loving gay Latino guy who has been sober for almost five years. I prefer to keep a sober household but willing to discuss/consider light uses of substances. I work remotely from my home office and do some Lyft driving on the side so I’m often gone in the early morning, evenings and weekends. I have a very friendly Labrador dog named Bryce who is very well-behaved and stays outside during the day and inside at night. I love to travel and am frequently gone for small or long trips every couple of months or so, often with my dog. You’d have the house to yourself during those times. I also love to cook and have all the cooking supplies you can think of, including an air fryer, microwave, deluxe toaster oven, KitchenAid Mixer, etc.
I’m looking to create a fun and easy-going home situation with my roommate and am pretty chill about guests, sharing a meal every so often and hanging out. I’m a good communicator and am pretty generous with maintaining a nice house at my own expense, meaning I won’t nickel and dime someone for shared expenses. I’ve put a lot of money into making the house nice for my own benefit and you’d get to reap the rewards of that!
