Brand New Apartment - Seeking A Roommate Asap

I’m looking for someone to sign a new lease with at a brand-new apartment complex located right by the water in south Oakland. If you want, you can search “The Artizan,” and you should be able to learn more about the complex!

The unit I am hoping to rent is located at the corner on the top floor – so lots of natural lighting!

A bit about myself:

A, she/her, 27 years old. Been living in the Bay Area since 2014, moved down to San Diego for a year, and moving back to the bay starting next month to finish up my masters at Cal.

I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I greatly enjoy and cherish the time I get to spend going on adventures/quality time with friends and family, but I definitely do need time by myself to recharge few times a month. In my spare time (if I am not out and about with friends), I enjoy just cozying up in bed watching Netflix/reading a book, going on walks, as well as doing my daily stretch and yoga.

When it comes to cleanliness, how you choose to keep your room is totally up to you. The only thing I ask is to keep the common space (kitchen, living room, what-have-you) clean and tidy. To me, home is my safe haven, and I would really appreciate it if my roommate shared those same values as well.

Another thing: I do have an emotional support animal (soon to be a service dog!) She’s a mini Australian Shepherd turning 5 in February. She loves people, but she can definitely be a bit timid and shy at first. The house I’m currently living in also has another puppy, and they’re great friends. She’s been completely fine with friends’ cats being around as well in the past.

I am looking to start my least sometime during the first or second week of January at the latest, since spring semester starts on the 17th. I would really prefer if I move in before then.

What I am looking for in a roommate:
1) good communication, especially if there’s an issue that needs to be addressed from either side
2) respect for each other & space
3) clean common space

We don’t have to be best friends, and we don’t even have to interact much if that’s what you prefer! I don’t mind either way.

Originally, the unit is $4655 per month, but with the 4 months free offer with an 18-month contract, it ends up being $1800 per person (~$3600 in total/mo) excluding utilities and parking fees if you have a car.
