Room Available in a Lovely East Bay House

Nice room available in a beautiful, airy, bright, three-bedroom house in Emeryville, at the border of Oakland and a few blocks from Berkeley. $390 per week or $1350/month.

The room is approximately 130 square feet, plus a large walk-in closet, and can come furnished or unfurnished. It is available for two-three months, and possibly longer. The dates are flexible.

The house is in a quiet, friendly, walkable neighborhood, close to Berkeley Bowl West, San Pablo Ave, Doyle Hollis Park, the greenway and the waterfront. The house has a large, modern, fully-equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and living room, a small guest bedroom for visitors, and laundry. It has a cute front patio with lots of plants, and a back garden with a picnic table, BBQ and space for gardening.

There are several stairs to get into the house. It is a ten-minute bike ride to BART. There is ample street parking, a shuttle to BART, busses and there are nearby bike share stations.

The housemates are in their 40s, easygoing, laid-back and creative. Fredrik (he/him) is a photographer with a passion for hiking, ping-pong, and gardening. The downstairs housemate, Laura (she/her), is an independent filmmaker originally from the east coast, who is into art, hiking and travel.

We enjoy each others’ company when it occurs naturally and we don’t have many formal meetings. We strive to be flexible, responsible and communicative. We have a shared house account to share the costs of utilities and house supplies. Smoking is okay outside.

We like to keep the place tidy and clean but are not “neat freaks.”
