Comfy Room in Apt on Prospect Park Avail Dec 1st (

I have a quiet bedroom available for $1080/month in a spacious, neat 2-bedroom apartment across the street from Prospect Park, available Dec 1st.

The location of the apartment is an urban oasis in the Windsor Terrace / South Park Slope area, right on the park, with a vast expanse of green space right at your door. It's only a block to the F/G trains (15th St/ Prospect Park) and an easy walk to grocery stores, farmers markets, Nitehawk cinema, great restaurants, Celebrate Brooklyn concerts, the Armory YMCA, etc. Overall, it's a relaxed, diverse, safe, and vibrant neighborhood. Less than 30 minutes to downtown Manhattan, and 30-45 min to most of Midtown.

You would be sharing the house with a gay male in his 40s and his cat. For work, I manage at a photo studio in Chelsea. Besides photography, I love being with friends, going into Prospect Park, seeing movies, going to art shows, reading, cooking (usually vegetarian food), watching TV at home on the couch, and occasionally traveling. I'm looking for someone who is tidy, responsible and considerate, cat-friendly, a non-smoker, and overall independent and down-to-Earth.

The room is 9x10 feet, and comes unfurnished, but you could fit a full-size bed, bureau, and desk and have some room to spare. The room is comfortable and has a window that faces a courtyard, that gets a good amount of sunlight. Since I have a cat, having any other cats or pets would not work out. The apartment house has respectful, quiet neighbors, and we have a basement laundry, as well as a very safe place to lock your bicycle.

It's a rent-stabilized apartment, and the utilities (gas, elec, wifi) average out at about $70/month per person. You would need to pay first month's rent and a $1080 deposit before moving in, and I?m asking for references to call. Ideally, I am looking for someone long-term to share this wonderful place.
