This is for an open room in a 2 bed/1 bath 4th floor walkup in a beautifully renovated apartment. Rent is $1550/month, May 1st move in. Located on Grand Street between Lorimer and Leonard.

Highlights:
Couple blocks from Metropolitan-Lorimer L/G subway station, 7 min walk to the train; 25 min to midtown and 30 min to fidi by train for commuting.
Grocery store a block away with tons of wonderful restaurants, coffee, wine, shops around the area. Also close to the west part of Wmbg for other attractions and about a 15 min walk to McCarren park or 5 min Citi Bike.
Laundry in the basement.

Looking for a personable, tidy, thoughtful roommate who wants to foster a good roommate relationship and friendship. Ideally another young working professional, with normal working hours for wfh. I absolutely love this apartment and the area, hope you love it as much as I do. I like a more quiet and relaxing space at night. Friends and people over are fine just with a heads up, they’re not over all the time, and they respect the space.

This is not a sublet, you would be signing onto the year-long lease and would need to go through the full application, credit report, background check, proof of income and employment through management. Security deposit is $1550.

I’ve lived in the apartment for a year so the apartment is set for some things such as furniture and shelves, but there is definitely space and would enjoy decorating together to make it feel like both our home!

The room is pretty large and has a giant window that takes up almost an entire wall. The closet is massive, largest personal closet I’ve seen in NYC, larger than both the living room and my closet combined. So big plus if you’re a closet person. Room is unfurnished.

The apartment kitchen has a full-size fridge and dishwasher, with lots of cabinet space. Internet is Verizon Fios, I get a slight discount, $30/month for their fastest speed woo. Which is great if your job requires a lot of internet capability. Other utilities yet range anywhere from $50/mo normally to $100/mo at the worst usually depending on the season. Most people in the building respect the space, keep their shoe racks outside in the stairwell, and the other two neighbors on the floor across the hall are quiet. Space in the basement for bike storage.

About me, female in mid 20’s, recent dual masters graduate in urban planning and public health from Columbia. Working at a civil engineering firm located in midtown, going into the office Monday through Thursday, wfh Friday, but hoping to get more wfh time in the future. I’m not a morning person, but I definitely don’t stay out late either. I bike a lot, liberal, consistently make coffee in the morning, enjoy chatting with family on walks around the neighborhood, try to cook everyday and clean my dishes/clean up after myself by the end of the night. I’m Christian but won’t throw that in your face or try to convert you, just an fyi. Nerd about a lot of things and I love talking to people who are passionate about their thing!
