Hello! My roommate is moving, so I am looking for someone to sublet his room and then renew my lease (move-in late March, lease renewal in July). I’ve live in this apartment for eight years and I’m hoping to have someone join me who will treat it with care. I treat my apartment as my refuge away from the city, so it is important to me that it is dependably peaceful and clean. I am looking for a roommate who will naturally fall into a similar routine — I am happy to hang out while cooking dinners or watching something on the tv, but also value my space and time to recharge at home.
Here are the details about the space:

- $1352/month (heat is included, other utilities run about $110/month)
- Located in Flatbush, 8-minute walk from Parkside B/Q stop; 10-minute walk from Church Av 2/5 stop
- 10 minute walk from Prospect Park
- Apartment on fifth floor (elevator building)
- You would have the larger bedroom that can accommodate queen/king sized bed, with 2 windows (street-facing) and a closet
- Can buy AC unit from current tenant
- The apartment has two bedrooms, a smaller room that I use as my studio, a fully-outfitted kitchen, bathroom, and fully furnished living room
- Laundry located in basement or at laundromat across the street
- In walking distance of 24-hr fruitstand, late night deli, multiple grocery stores, cafes, Target, Kings Theatre
- Generally a non-smoking apartment, but it’s flexible

About you:
- Employed and responsible, able to pay rent punctually (must provide proof of income and strong credit)
- A reliable person overall!
- Clean and committed to maintaining shared spaces equitably
- Friendly, kind, and communicative
- Prefer at least mid/late-twenties to mid-thirties
- Your apartment serves as your sanctuary away from the city (we don’t bring the party home and keep the apartment reliably peaceful)

About me:
- I am a designer, born and raised in Brooklyn, who works most afternoons as a dog walker around the city (so I like to get warm and cozy when I return home)
- I spend a lot of time out of the house — my dad lives nearby and I do a lot of dog/house sitting work around Brooklyn, so you’ll have the space to yourself sometimes. When I am home I’m typically working in my studio, cooking in the kitchen, or relaxing in the living room
- I am typically up before 9 am and turned in for the night around 10 pm
- I sometimes host friends for movies, dinners, and sports games, but don’t host any parties or large gatherings
