Room Available In Prospect Heights

Here’s a little blurb from the current roomies:

Olivia and Hannah (+ one cute cat, pictured!) are looking for a third roommate to sublet starting Aug 1 ($1,480 / month) as our current roommate is leaving NYC, with an option to resign at EOY. We have spent the last few years building a space full of love, communication and safety that we truly value and would love to find someone who wants to help us continue to build that.

A little about our desires in a roommate:

• I have a 3 year old cat named Pearl. She is playful, fun, and cute - she is queen of the apartment

• We're very clean and we share cleaning responsibilities. We want another roommate who is tidy as well.

• We do not host large gatherings at our apartment, we like to keep our home a calm space

• We are very good friends! It would be great to make a new friend but we don't need to be best friends as long as we get along well in each other’s company.

• We hang out in common spaces, love going to the park, doing crafts, and trying new restaurants / bars / going on adventures.

• We both cook for most of our meals

• LGBTQ+ friendly

• We're climate focused and live fairly eco-friendly lifestyles so we'd love someone who shares that value

A little about us:

• Me - I work hybrid in finance / tech and am an active community organizer outside of work. I garden at the community garden on St Marks / Vanderbilt and love taking on new projects and getting outside. Pearl is my cat (she loves to play with new people) and her litterbox is in my room.

• Hannah - hi! i work in hospitality and volunteer at a crisis hotline. When i’m not at work I am usually sketching, dancing, going to the gym, exploring & being outside :)

The apartment:

• 3 bed 1 bath in prime Prospect Heights. 5 min walk to GAP 2/3 train and 7 min walk to 7th Ave B/Q train.

• Lots of natural light (3rd floor), recently renovated with new appliances and kitchen + bathroom. Dishwasher but no W/D (there is a laundromat < 1 block away).

• Common spaces are fully furnished (but we can talk about adding any furniture you might bring with you as well)

• Your bedroom has 1 window (courtyard facing), 1 closet, and is large enough to fit a queen / full + dresser + desk. The room can be unfurnished or include a bed frame, mattress, and low-profile dresser/cabinet (pictured).
