My name is Tom, and my roommate Seajun and I are looking for a new roommate to join our lease starting March 1st in this spacious apartment just 5 minutes away from gorgeous Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and a long list of amazing restaurants, bars, and bakeries. We are also a 5 minute walk to the 2, 3, 4, 5, B/D/Q/R trains. This neighborhood really is fantastic.
We're ideally looking for someone that can commit to a one year lease starting March 1st. The room is also available as early as February 14th at a prorated amount. The future roommate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. No pets allowed unfortunately. No couples.
The apartment - The apartment itself is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with high ceilings and a large living room to spread out. Seajun and I like to keep things clean and we ask the next roommate to be clean as well and wash your dishes in a timely manner. Our apartment is welcoming, cozy, and peaceful. We are also firm believers in communication. We hope the next roommate respects these values as well.
The rent is $975 per month excluding utilities. Utilities are usually between $50-$100 per month. There is laundry on site.
The room available - The room is roughly 15 x 8 with 2 large windows that let in plenty of natural light. This room receives the most natural light out of the 3 bedrooms in the apartment. The room can also fit a queen sized bed, a small desk, and more. There is a built-in closet as well along with extra shelving space just outside the room itself.
Myself - I'm 30 years old and originally from Philadelphia. I work in the museum education field, and I'm at the office 5 days a week. When I'm not working, I'm usually out with friends or just in my room listening to a good podcast or catching up on some movies and TV.
Seajun - Seajun is 26 and he's originally from Korea. He's a wonderful celloist and does a lot of different work in the classical music world. He mostly works from home and is pretty quiet like myself.
All interested candidates must have proof of ID, 3 current paystubs/proof of income for application to building management. 2 to 3 references from previous roommates would be preferred as well.
