My friend and I are looking for a third roommate to complete our home for a September 1st lease (current third roomie is moving out at the end of the present lease term).
Our place is a beautiful updated apartment on 3rd Street in Park Slope. Some other details of the apt and location:
* sun-drenched and entirely south facing in the heart of Park Slope
* two full bathrooms (not half bath)
* washer/dryer in unit!
* second floor - so barely a walk-up! (stairs, no elevator)
* heat and hot water included
* pet friendly, although space would work best with a small dog/cat
* intercom system that works with your phone
* 1 block from Whole Foods
* 5 blocks from F/G/R train(s)
* Faces a beautiful park
* Historic and picturesque 3rd street is a gorgeous, clean and well-maintained street
* 1 block from tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and markets on 5th Ave. Everything you could possibly need is in short walking distance in every direction. And then two blocks for the markets, restaurants and banks on 7th Ave.
* 1 block from the famous Park Slope 5th Ave Farmer’s Market every weekend
* 1 stop away from Atlantic Station which has B/D/Q/R/2/3/4/5 and LIRR
* 3 blocks from Prospect Park
The available room can fit a full bed (possibly queen depending on your other furniture), a desk, and a bookcase or small dresser. It also has a good-sized closet. Best part is that the room will come with its own bathroom - not inside the room, but you'll have exclusive use of it. Bathroom includes a tub shower, and medicine cabinet/under sink storage.
The apartment is fully furnished and my roommate and I are happy to provide whatever else is needed. Available room would be largely-to-mostly unfurnished, as departing roommate will likely be taking his things.
Current roommates are two chill and friendly females, 30s, working in tech and consulting. WFH most days of the week. I enjoy the arts and theater scene in NYC soooo much and would be happy to share any of that hobby with you - it would be nice to check out a show or gallery event, etc. Roommate is very passionate about fitness and wellness, practices yoga and is a certified personal trainer! We both enjoy travel and exploring the city in our free time.
We are clean, respectful, considerate of others; being tidy is VERY important to both of us. We really value clear communication and think it's essential to be approachable when it comes to sorting out any house matter. We only want to make a living situation as comfortable and pleasant as possible for everyone. BLM and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Work from home ok! Just something to keep in mind that we both work from home, so it might be a better fit if you are hybrid or work in office.
Overnight guests are fine! But would prefer to limit the number of days they would stay in a week. We are not looking for a fourth roommate!
No preferences to ages or gender. Just be cool, tidy/mindful to clean up after yourself, and open to communication. I may get a cat, so cat friendly persons preferred!! Our culture is open, warm and friendly, and we would love someone who could add to that environment. We want to enjoy the space we all occupy! <3
