-There?s no closet in your actual bedroom, but you?d have a closet all to yourself in the living room.?

The Apartment: Homey, plant filled apartment in the Bushwick/Bedsty Area. We have amazing afternoon light from our many western facing windows and great sunsets. We?re the top floor of a 3 floor walk up (no elevator) which means privacy & lots of light. Fully furnished kitchen (with dishwasher!), partially furnished living room.?
The neighborhood: There?s a laundry mat around the corner and 2 grocery stores about a 5-10min walk away. We?re across the street from an elementary school which is pretty adorable during non COVID times. There?s a coffee shop around the corner, a new bar 2 blocks away, and a community garden with a weekly farm stand 3 blocks away.?
Transport: We?re 3 blocks from the A/C, 3 blocks from the J/Z, and a 10-12 min walk to the L. We?re a stone?s throw from a bus stop. It takes about 30 mins to get to downtown Brooklyn, 45 to Union Sq. Our bikes are typically locked outside on the front fence. There?s been no problems with theft. We're able to store our bikes in the basement as long as we label them clearly.
ABOUT US:?
(1) I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors. During the week I manage a small educational farm in BK.? I think compost is very cool and could talk with you about food, food justice, the food system all day.? Im at work days a week and on days off take bike rides or spend time at home.? I enjoy a relaxed home atmosphere where we are comfortable sharing space and time with one another.
(2) I?ve been living in the apartment for 3 years. I currently work 4 days a week outside the apartment as a care assistant for a high risk individual (re COVID). I?m also an Actor/Shadow Puppeteer and am often hunkered down other days of the week working on puppet projects, rehearsing, recording voice over, etc. I?m a fairly quiet homebody, although I like to play podcasts when I?m in the shower or when cooking/baking.
ABOUT YOU:
We're looking for roommates who are tidy and who appreciate and are tolerant of many plants. Looking for people who take COVID seriously, who have ideas on how to redecorate the living room, and who value open communication. Bonus points if you?re into reducing our household?s environmental impact. No cigarette smokers, please. And not cats as we are, unfortunately, allergic.?
