Large, Sunny Bedroom in Perfect Brooklyn Location

I'm seeking a considerate and responsible subletter to rent out my spacious, furnished second bedroom in my 2BR Fort Greene apartment for June - July 2025, with the possibility of extending through August. Move-in and move-out dates are flexible. (Please feel free to reach out even if you have a free account; I won't be finalizing anything in less than a week)

The room is very large and light-filled, with hardwood floors, a full bed with memory foam mattress, and a large double closet. There is a ceiling fan and window unit AC. Towels and linens will be provided. Coin-op laundry is also in the building. All utilities and wifi, and household cleaning supplies, are included.

I'm located on a vibrant street, just two blocks from Fort Greene Park on Dekalb Ave, with close proximity to a dozen MTA lines that make it a breeze to get anywhere easily and quickly. Shopping and restaurants are all within a few minutes' walk away.

Some more details about the location:

- 5-8 min. walk from multiple train lines (NQR, B, 2/3, 4/5, G, F, ACE) + bus lines - can't overstate how convenient this is!
- A few blocks from Barclays, 25 min walk to Prospect Park
- About 15 minutes on the train to Union Square or Washington Square Park
- Within easy walking distance to big box stores like Target, Whole Foods 365 and Trader Joe’s, as well local groceries and bodegas + a ton of amazing restaurants and bars

ABOUT YOU:

I'm looking for a very responsible, clean, considerate and quiet person who will treat my apartment like their own home and is a great communicator. No smoking, drugs or parties.

It's important to me that you clean up and pick up after yourself, respect reasonable quiet hours, and in general just be friendly and responsible. Note: I work from home and my desk is set up in the living room, so I'm looking for someone who will generally be out and about during weekdays.

I'm a cat foster parent, so I usually have one cat in the apartment. If you're allergic or dislike cats, this wouldn't be a good fit. Unfortunately, I can't accommodate any other pets.

ABOUT ME:

I'm a writer and filmmaker in my 40s who loves to dance and travel. I’ve been a vegetarian for 20+ years. I love exploring cultural events in the city and cheering on the Mets at Citifield. I spend most of my work time working from home on marketing consulting gigs or my own creative projects.
