Available September 1st. Sunny rear-facing bedroom in a fifth floor 2-bedroom apartment, located on a tree-lined street 2 blocks from the Cortelyou Rd Q train. The room is on the small side, but has a closet, can fit a queen size bed, desk, dresser, and bookshelf. Ceilings are also high so wall storage is an option. Building is well-maintained and has an elevator, as well as live-in super and monthly optional exterminator servicing. Unit has updated kitchen and bathroom, and had a washer-dryer installed in 2018. Communal living-dining space has an exposed brick wall and open floor plan. Heating, hot water are included in rent. Gas, electric, and internet will be split evenly.

About me: early-30s working professional with 9-5 in Manhattan. A bit of a homebody in terms of nightlife, but busy-ish when it comes to errands, cooking, gym/personal care, etc., so I'm most likely to be out during the days and on some weeknights. I've often been the "clean roommate", and am looking for a roommate on the same wavelength. Not into hosting parties generally, but have friends over sometimes. I write in my spare time, and also love art, travel, books, and music. Politically progressive, if that matters. Queer. friendly, but let's keep things smelling nice. :) Omnivorous, but a friend to all plant-based humans. Most likely adopting a cat, so please keep that in mind before reaching out. Also a light sleeper, so I use a white noise machine to drown out ambient noise at night.

About you: financially stable and punctual with bills, considerate, moving in solo, down to split chores. Major bonus points if you've lived in NYC for at least a few years and identify on the LGBTQIA+ continuum.
