This apartment is on the second floor of a typically gorgeous Victorian Ditmas Park home. If you?ve ever wondered what it?s like inside these huge houses, you?ll get a chance to see!

Tree-lined streets lead to private side door access with stairs to the second-floor apartment. Apartment consists of two bedrooms (however, only one room for rent), full bathroom, half bathroom, living room and brand-new renovated kitchen (completely gut renovated in September 2019).

Your Room:
Incoming renter?s (your) bedroom has a private half bath with a toilet and sink, which would be yours and yours alone. Two north and west facing windows allow solid sunlight throughout the day into the evening. A great room for plants! Bedroom is ~ 11x11 square shape. Easily fits a queen size bed, desk, and dresser in any configuration. When current renter leaves, the homeowner will repaint the room whatever color you like. The family who owns the house is wonderfully accommodating and they work with renters to make the place feel like home! Full closet is just outside the bedroom in the hallway.

Rest of Apartment:
Full access to living room and kitchen. Other bedroom is occupied by two other renters, a couple [she/her and they/them]. Shared full bathroom has a shower/tub and a closet for storing toiletries.

Kitchen is fully furnished, recently gut renovated, with state-of-the-art microwave, stove/oven and refrigerator. Multiple large cabinets are available in the newly renovated kitchen.

Living room is furnished with couch, chairs, lamps, etc.

Other renters: A couple, professional and student mix. Two small, well behaved kittens. Roommates are active socially with a dedicated board game night each week when they invite friends over and hangout in the living room. Clean, accepting, respectful young people.

Neighborhood:
Quick two-minute walk from Newkirk Plaza subway station ? express B train and local Q train. Easy access to multiple grocery stores, laundromats, pharmacies, cafes, and bodegas. Ditmas Park?s main thoroughfare, Cortelyou Road, is a few minutes? walk north. Restaurants galore, gyms, cafes, farmer?s market and terrific co-op groceries. You name it, Cortelyou has it! Parking is free on the streets around the area. Monday/Wednesday alternate parking schedule.

Financial Stuff:
1 year commitment preferred. Home-owner does not always require a renewed lease if it is a good fit for all.
Monthly rent: Your share would be $1150. No smoking. You will have to work out an agreement with current renters on electrical, gas, and internet charges. Heat and water is included.

Current renter is moving into a new home and does not yet have a firm exit timetable. Room should be open to move in by November 1. If you have a flexible move in date that's great.

Home Owner?s family occupies lower floor and upper floors but this apartment is completely separate from the owner?s house ? entrance is private and apartment doesn?t require entering through main house. Think of it as your own floor inside of a large-scale house.
