Large bedroom available near Graham L

Looking for a new roommate for my East Williamsburg apartment.

Is a 5-minute walk from the L train Graham Ave stop and very spacious by Brooklyn standards. In fact, the apartment is technically a 3 bed/2 bath, but the third bedroom is small so I keep it as a workout room and use it for extra storage space.

The room for rent is a large bedroom with a sizable closet. You would have your own bathroom.

The apartment is a really fantastic value and in a great neighborhood. I've lived here for 8 years and have loved every day of it.

I'm seeking someone quiet, mature, and respectful for a month-to-month situation. I take pride in being an extremely considerate roommate who is easy to live with and I'm looking for someone similar.

Longer-term commitments preferred.

Additional apartment info:

There's a private backyard, which is directly accessible from the room that's for rent. I keep a vegetable garden out there and we have patio furniture and a grill.

If you have a car, there is plenty of street parking available.

I also have a cat who is very shy and (eventually) friendly. Unfortunately, I can't consider people who have other pets.

The kitchen is large and we're getting new appliances this month. You'd be welcome to use all my cooking gear. No laundry on site and there is no dishwasher.

Rent is $1,700 plus utilities. First month rent plus one month security deposit to move in.

I'll consider couples as roommates but the rent for a couple would be $2,100.

About me:

I'm a 36-year-old man who works in the news industry. I work from home (bonus points if you don't) so I'm usually around during the day, but I'm out most evenings and travel a fair amount.
