The room is 10x10 feet, includes a reasonably large (for nyc) closet, and is located on the first floor facing Eastern Parkway with lots of natural light, especially in the morning. Because of the northeastern exposure it’s pretty cool in the summer. The apartment unit includes a large common room (10x15), a separate kitchen with various appliances, and a large bathroom with a full size tub. There is both visual and sound privacy between the two bedrooms. The unit overlooks a common outdoor/yard space, which my neighbors and I have tuned into a garden area. Great location right next to the Franklin Stop off the 4/5 and 2/3. Five minute walk to the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanic Garden, and ten minute walk to Prospect Park/Grand Army Plaza. The space (and the housemate) are very trans/queer positive and affirming. Chris the human is relatively quiet, an early riser (5-6 am), a big jazz/classical music buff, and an amateur pianist and trumpeter. Works as a professor of gender/sexuality studies and history. Oscar the dog is 13, very sweet and surprisingly spry, and very lovable.
