Looking for roommates in Bushwick! 5 min to Jefferson L train or less - one block away! The BEST location!

3 Bedrooms available in this 4 bedroom 1.5 Bathroom duplex across the street from Maria Hernandez Park. Upstairs is a full bath with large shower, downstairs is half bath. Right by the dog park side. Apartment has a private backyard, and the living room is the access point, so you don't have to go through anyone's bedroom. There's bike storage in the basement, as well as building shared washer and dryer (coin). There's roof access as well, with a fantastic view of the city! One bedroom is on the first floor, the other 2 are in the basement, separated by the half bath. All have windows for A/C. Basement rooms are slightly larger than the 1st floor room, and one basement room has a private entrance (not pictured yet). Not large bedrooms, very average for area. However, the bedrooms do not share walls with the other bedrooms, so that's cool. Only mine is on the street, so the available rooms are pretty quiet.

Apartment comes with a sweet little black dog. He doesn't know cats, but if you really want to try a teeny tiny baby kitten, I'm down to see. He does love most small/med dogs, especially ladies, but it's hard to say until he meets. He occasionally hates a dog I totally would think he'd love, makes no sense. We are sad though that his doggie love and roommate is leaving, so if you think maybe, hit me up. Would not mind having a doggie buddy for him, and in the past I've def trading off walking the dogs, or vacation dog sitting. If everything sounds good, we can def do a doggie meet up at Maria Hernandez.

The duplex has one full bath (no bathtub, just large shower) on the 1st floor, and a half bath in the basement between the bedrooms. There is also a little bit of room for a dresser or cabinet outside of it. Stone (or cement?) countertops, nice deep sink, living room with windows and private just our apartment backyard. That is astroturf down there, and I like the greenery of the weeds, but if you want to do a garden thing, that would be dope! Dishwasher, microwave, exposed brick, wood floors. Apartment will be partially furnished, but bedrooms will be empty. Basically I have some things, but my roommates had other things, so when they go, their things will go too. Like the sofa will go, but most of the art is mine. (Not mine like I made it though, mostly Brooklyn street artists.)

Chill but responsible, professional, and mature is ideal. Rent is $1000 plus Util. Of course also would like people who take out the trash when it's full without having to be asked, or scrubs the bathroom every now and then.

Very Friendly, but no tobacco in the house please. Writers, foodies, trekkies, street art lovers, scifi & fantasy geeks, witchy vibes and tarot lovers extra invited! But certainly not required. That's mostly me. I'm on insta if you want to check me out, though that is a pretty tame account that I started when I was a high school teacher. My quarantine project is writing a novel. I've been in the neighborhood since 2008, so def have good recommendations if you need them.

Currently still working from home, as I have some lung issues, but otherwise I work in the neighborhood for a photo studio. Please be aware that I am more careful than others may be because of my lung condition, and I would like to find people who are also cautious and taking covid seriously. Def not a place to bring a party home, but occasional respectful guests are ok. Only one person to each room, please.

I believe in wearing masks, that Covid is not a hoax, that Feds in Portland and Seatle need to be gone, and All Black Lives Matter! LGBTQPOC+++ friendly! I'd also like UBI and universal healthcare. I mean, just saying. Not that you have to agree on all this, but just so you know who i am.

I've lived here the past year, and after all the drama of 2020, my roommates are scattering away out of state and with sig others. Hoping to find compatible roommates, jic another lockdown happens.

Applicants will need to make 40x rent, and there's a $100 application fee for credit check. If you think maybe, let's set up a video tour, and if that works out, we can meet up to see the apartment. Masked and careful of course. It's a basic apartment with some nice details, like the counter, a large sink, a dishwasher, a large shower head and hot hot! water. The hot water is really good here.
