Large Sunny Room - Bushwick

The Room: available immediately. Large bedroom in a floor through 2-bed apartment. Large is not a euphemism! The room is 15'x12', with plenty of room for a queen bed, desk, dresser and then some (one previous tenant and used half the room for meditation and yoga and had plenty of space). Windows face the backyard, no street noise.

The Apartment: high ceilings and original hardwood floors throughout. The bedrooms are on either end of the apartment, separated by the living room. Additionally, the available bedroom is buffered from the living room by closets, so lots of privacy. The kitchen has standard appliances, including a Vitamix. The living room is a nice size, bigger than it photographs, with flex for additional furniture, and has an extra closet for apartment storage.

Roommate(s): due to covid, I? m not around much, and the cat is currently out of the apartment. In normal times you would be sharing the apartment with a 32 y/o female professional and Maize an 11 y/o cat. The human roommate works 9-5 doing things she finds interesting formerly in office spaces that aren? t terribly interesting, and is generally pretty chill when around the apartment. She enjoys pretending she cooks, catching up on TV, going to the movies, indulging in video games, and relaxing with a good book, but is also frequently out and about. The cat roommate, Maize, is very loving and playful, when she? s had a chance to get to know you. However, she is very shy with new people (as mentioned, she? s not currently in the apartment).

Quick facts: apartment is well located with plenty of subway options. The J, Z, M and 3 L train stops are all an easy walk around. Direct trip is 20 minutes from subway stops to 14th street or Essex. Around the corner are several great Bushwick coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Also in the area are plenty of laundromats, grocery stores and drug stores (CVS, DuaneReade, and RiteAid all walking distance), as well as friendly bodegas on most corners.

Start up is 1st month and security deposit. Must show steady employment and income sufficient to pay rent. Electricity is a shared expense, Internet is on the subletter so long as you? re solo in the apartment. Apologies, no dogs, no tobacco, no couples. LGBTQ+ and cat friendly.
