Middle room on the second floor in a typical, 3 BR Brooklyn railroad apartment, approximately 10' X 10' with windows on opposite walls looking out to the rear of the building and into a large, surprisingly sunny air shaft. There is no closet in the room, but it comes furnished with an armoire. The high ceiling (nearly 10 feet!) also makes a loft bed possible.

The apartment was renovated about 10 years ago and has high ceilings and wood floors and a good-sized kitchen and dining area. There is wi-fi installed and the option for cable t. v. Our building is 2 short blocks to the 2, 3, 4, 5

We are one older gay male college English instructor, and 1 female graduate student. We are looking for a mature, reasonably quiet (but communicative!) grad student or professional (or at least gainfully employed) person who will cheerfully contribute to the maintenance, cleanliness, and good spirit of our home. No smoking and no pets, please.

The rent is $870 per month and includes heat and hot water. Utilities, which include electricity, gas, and Internet, average about $50 per month. There will also be a security deposit equal to one month rent. We have a good deal with an excellent, responsive landlord.
