******OVERVIEW******
This rent stabilized 2 bedroom apartment has been my home for 13 years. It is on a beautiful tree lined street in a quiet building. I feel lucky to live on one of the BEST blocks in Brooklyn! I am secretary of my block association and throughout 2020 we initiated Mutual Aid projects and participated in Black Lives Matter activism. We were even given an award by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams for our work. Our community is strong, caring and they helped give me a sense of purpose during difficult times. If you are socially active, our community has a great network to initiate meaningful change.
*****LOCATION*****
Under 10 min walk to Prospect Park, GAP Farmers Market, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, BMA , many great restaurants and cafes. Also close to 2/ 3 train, 4/ 5, B/ Q.
******BUILDING******
The building was built in 1920. My apartment is on the 3rd floor of a 4 floor walk-up building. There are four apartments on each floor. Many neighbors have been living here for several decades. It is a friendly, safe, community.
******You*******
You are a financially stable working professional or a student with a small amount of furniture. Someone who is friendly and understands how to be a team player. You keep the shared spaces clean, tidy and remember to help take out the trash :) Respectful, optimistic, healthy boundaries are important. You have a small bubble and are conscientious about mask wearing, socializing and other health precautions related to COVID. You are also open minded and willing to communicate with honesty. LGTBQ people welcome.
******About Me******
I am a Holistic Nutritional Health Coach and I work from home. My social bubble is small. It consists of my dear friend/ current roommate and her boyfriend. They are moving to Miami to assist aging family members and we are all teary-eyed about this move. I love cooking, music and comedy. I am friendly and talkative but I also have a quiet side and like personal down-time. Quarantine turned me into an “early-to-bed-early-to-rise-person”. Who knew that would happen?! You don’t need to keep the same hours as me, but it would be nice to have more quietude in the evenings after 10:30. I like things tidy & clean but I’m not obsessive about it. Because of my profession, I’m into healthy, conscious living but I’m not a fanatic. If you wish you could be more healthy, my habits just might rub off on you! If you already are this way, that's great too.
