Looking for artist/creative for room + studio/work
The apartment has a unique layout with a bedroom plus an additional studio space. If you're an artist or in a creative field-this space is ideal. The bedroom is 9'x11' and the studio is of similar dimensions.
There's a shared bathroom and kitchen, but no living room.
The kitchen is large and there are plants on the windowsill. Plenty of room for your stuff. There's a large closest in the hall that would be yours alone. The apartment is a bit funky-old construction with loads of detail-but if you're hoping for a nice new shiny place-this isn't it. The bathroom has a tub/shower a toilet and a sink-stand.
I'm looking for a creative person to use the extra space for making something-not just using it as additional living space as it's not really conducive to anything else and it's always been used a studio. But do keep in mind that it is in a residential building with other apartments so noise levels should be moderate (no jack hammers or band rehearsals) and no dangerous chemicals or smelly projects.
The ideal person would be working full time, NOT from home. They would have an easy going personality. Neatness is important to me as I equally share the cleaning responsibilities.
I like to cook and do cook meat occasionally.
I feel that respect for others is the only way to make a roommate situation work, we don't need to be best friends-but you never know. Communication is so important. I enjoy a chat and am always up for shared meal. Generally, because I work full-time, I keep early hours. But the apartment is big enough that it shouldn't affect your lifestyle.
I love this apartment, it's a beautiful space. It feels like home and by that I mean a place where grown-ups live, it's not a dorm, or party house. It's got cheerful plants, charming knick-knacks, etc. I want to share the space with someone looking for the same kind of atmosphere.
Sorry, I am only looking for one person to share this space, no couples, no indoor smoking, and no undergrads.
If you're interested, please include some details about yourself when you email.
I am a production artist, by trade but mainly work in catering to make ends meet. I'm a lesbian in my 50s. I am an omnivore and enjoy cooking. I like museums and galleries, photography especially-but really anything that makes me think and exposes me to new perspectives. I have a decent sense of humor, i. e. British panel shows and Parks & Rec. I also like seeing live music. Luckily, the Bell House is within walking distance.
