A room has opened up in 3rd floor walk-up apartment with just the right amount of renovations in a classic Bed Stuy Brownstone. The apartment is ideally located near the A, C, S and G trains, nearby plenty of shops and restaurants on Nostrand, Bedford, and Fulton, and within walking distance of several grocery stores.

This 2 bed / 2 bath apartment features a kitchen with granite countertops, a dishwasher, 2 full baths, hardwood floors, and even a washer and dryer in the unit.

The available unfurnished bedroom is about 5”4’ x 11”5’ and can comfortably fit a twin bed. A full bed or queen would also fit but it would be a tight fit. The bedroom features a sliding door closet and bifold interior window shutters. The bedroom faces the beautiful, tree-lined street of Putnam ave, and is across from a beautiful high school that is currently undergoing renovations that are expected to be complete by end of year.

You will also have access to your own private, full bath, which is about 5”4’ x 5”6’ and includes a standing corner shower.

This would be a 7 month sublet with the option to sign on to the lease in April 2022. Good credit is important for my landlord's approval.

About Me:

You will be sharing this apartment with myself and my two cats. My name is Anthony, and I’m 28 years old, use they/them pronouns and am from Los Angeles. I’ve lived in NYC for the past 4 years and in Brooklyn for 3. I’m a middle school ELA teacher, so I tend to be very busy during the school year, but love to spend time enjoying the city when possible, especially during my summers off. I appreciate quiet during my down time, but also do enjoy listening to music and watching shows in the living room.

My cats, sisters Zora (4) and Eartha (3) are short hair torties. They are very sweet and loving once they’ve warmed up to you. Zora tends to be the shier, less playful cat, but will cuddle up to you on the couch for some attention. Eartha is more lively and loves to zoom up and down the apartment from time to time chasing after her sister.

When it comes to COVID safety, I am fully vaccinated and will be going to work in-person this school year. I do occasionally have visitors over to the apartment, but never more than a few people.

I’m hoping for a roommate who is also BIPOC and queer / trans. I value roommates who are communicative, cooperative, tidy and friendly. I am not open to couples or additional pets.
