Located on a gorgeous, tree-lined block of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, this apartment is on the second floor of a Victorian (Queen Anne style) brownstone building. This is a 2-bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment, with only myself as the other roommate. The bedroom available has a beautiful bay window looking over the backyard area (this means you can have your AC in one window, and still be able to open other windows!) and comes with an adjacent private, full bathroom. There is in-apartment laundry as well with new, full size machines. Additional closet space/storage available and I'm open to some living room storage & use as well. As you can see from the photos, this is a spacious apartment, with a nice open kitchen and layout, plus tons of natural light. The bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the apartment for maximum privacy. You will almost feel like you are living alone. This could be an ideal situation for someone who needs to work at home!

About me: I own a small vintage clothing business online and have been working from home 7 days a week since the pandemic occurred. I mainly stay in my room/studio although I do like to cook and regularly check on my plant babies that live in the living room. I am pet-friendly, friendly, and exist on an open-minded and peaceful level. I appreciate a roommate who cleans up after themselves, respects my things (happy to share my kitchenware and other items) and is capable of being quiet and considerate at home -I don't expect you to creep around like a mouse, but perhaps don't have loud phone conversations in the public areas, since I'm often working in my studio. I believe in open communication about general things, and issues too. (For example, if I plan on cooking, I'll give a heads up in advance so we don't collide our kitchen time)

Rent for the bedroom is $1350/month

Electricity, gas and high speed Internet bills come out to about $100/month, heat and water are included

Ideally looking for someone for May 1st to commit for six months (one year negotiable)

More notes: I have lived in the neighborhood for about 16 years and when this apartment popped up I pounced on it! This is a 4-unit building with families and couples, and we are fairly close-knit and look out for one another. The neighborhood has a strong communal vibe and we say hello on the street. The landlord, in addition, is an amazing person and caretaker. I really felt I had struck gold when I got into this apartment, and I hope you do too!
