Our Story: Our roommate is moving out, and we’d like to find a third to fill in after he leaves, starting February 1, for a month-to-month lease. The apartment features a full kitchen, dining area, living space, as well as three bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. The apartment is heated, but without air conditioning, and is slotted in a building on 5th Avenue above a Tae Kwon Do studio.

We are a 23-year-old Viet-American (he/him) publishing editorial assistant and a 31-year-old (she/her) Dominican-American case manager at a New York psych resource center. We’re looking for someone who will be respectful, as well as attentive and mindful of the shared space—an ideal roommate is friendly, kind, and generally communicative. About the Area: Bay Ridge is in south Brooklyn via the R train, is generally rather quiet and populated with local businesses, as well as suburban neighborhoods. The apartment is on 5th Avenue, a central street where a lot of the businesses are located. Characterized by its removal from the high-rise, skyscraper-studded landscape of more central Brooklyn/Manhattan neighborhoods, Bay Ridge offers a generally relaxed atmosphere. The waterfront, local high schools, parks, suburban homes are just a short walk away.
