Summer Months Sublet in Private Room w/ 2 Windows

Ad ref# 101810698

Hi there,

I'm listing my current room, furnished for a 3 month sublet maximum, maximum move out date is September 1st. Available move in date is Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

I am temporarily moving back home to stay with my family and long-distance partner during the summer months.

You will be subletting my furnished room from me. The room is equipped with 2 dressers, both very roomy. An Apple TV that can connect to Prime Video, Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Showtime, ESPN, + much more. The TV is mounted to my wall to provide extra storage, if you'd like to bring an Xbox or Playstation, there are right plug-ins in the back of the TV. The room also comes with a charging pad for a cell phone and a tower fan as an electronic feature as well.

Other storage is my open-closet with hangers and a rolling white cart which I've used to store toiletries. I have a bookcase which is already stocked with all of my books, you're welcome to read or browse as long as the books are still there when I return.

The bed is a full-sized Tuft and Needle memory foam mattress *super comfy! I never have an issue falling asleep on it.

The measurements of the room are roughly 9' by 10'. The room also has 2 windows which both have curtains. The room and windows face southwest, so you'll never wake up with the sun completely in your eyes and you'll get a nice view of sunset most evenings. If the natural light isn't enough for you, there's also a lamp in the room and the ceiling lights as well. I also have a rolling desk to come with the room to function as a work or study space!

The building itself is a 2-apartment building, ours being the one immediately up the first flight of stairs, and the next apartment on top of ours and which is occupied by a quiet family who are always cordial.

The apartment itself is occupied by 4 women, we are all mid-twenty's. 2 of us are 25, and another 2 are 24. I am a mixed Vietnamese + White student who works part-time in the service industry, the other 25 year old is Dominican and a pre-school teacher. One 24 year old is Vietnamese and a student at NYU Tandon, The other 24 year old is Indian and a recent grad from Stony Brook, working in child care + development. We are all kind to each other, sometimes we like to drink together and hang out but we're also respectful of each other's space. I have a dog that lives in the apartment + my room with me. So, even though I have cleaned and do so often, if you have a strong dog allergy, I may stay away. My dog will be coming with me back home though so she will not be here during the summer either.

The room + apartment is located in Prime Bay Ridge, by 5th Avenue and 86th Street. The local R train is only a 5 minute walk away from our apartment. There are also numerous parking garages nearby, street parking as well as metered parking blocks are close as well. Just as are many bus lines that are only a short distance from the apartment. We're also within 5 minutes of restaurants with plenty of unique choices, whether you're craving Vietnamese, Lebanese, American or fast food. Or if you're in the mood to cook, there's a Gourmet Fresh within 5 minutes walk and other corner shops to get fresh food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are shops nearby as well, such as Duane Reade, Century 21, Sephora, TJ Maxx. Currently, most of those stores are closed except for Duane Reade, but I anticipate they will open during the summer.

The ideal roommate is someone also between the ages of 23-29, who is gainfully employed, peaceful, and respectful of the room's and apartments belongings. Male or female, although female would be preferred. You will have a ton of privacy as my room is ideally located on one wing of the apartment, right beside the living room, kitchen and bathroom.

The kitchen is fully stocked, you are able to use the silverware, utensils, oven, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig machine. We all love to cook and don't mind someone who is about cooking their own meals as well.

The living room also functions as half-storage, half living room. We have a couch, coffee table, and makeshift bed set up in the living room for comfort.

The bathroom, living room and kitchen are all shared spaces so please be mindful of noise and respectful.

The trash is taken out on both Tuesday and Friday and belongs in the bags which are NOT transparent. The times to set out the trash are between 5:00 pm and midnight, for the early morning Wednesday and Saturday pick-ups. Also, recycling ONLY goes out Friday's and also at the same times listed above ^. Each week, one roommate alternates in the responsibility of taking out the trash for Tuesday and Friday.

To reserve the room, I'd ask for a $400 refundable deposit, and to move-in, I require the first month's with utilities included at $600. For the following stay if you stay the entire length of 3 months, send me the rent by Venmo, PayPal, Chase Zelle no later than the 29th of each month.

I have no interest in running a credit check, just show that you are employed and can provide ID.

Any questions, please text me or message me on here for a time to schedule a viewing, virtually or in-person as long as you are wearing a mask.

Thank you! I hope to hear from you soon!
