Room For Rent / Apt. Share With Arts Writer, Bronx

No preference in roommates for gender or sexual orientation. I've lived with all.
I am a writer interested in the arts, and like people who are.
I am on the left politically, but not a "liberal". Ask me what that means if you want; it's a topic.
The most important quality in a roommate is that they can pay the rent.

I write film reviews and other things.
I read a lot, much of it in "theory". Read various book reviews, etc.
My tastes lean decidedly towards European culture more than American or anything else.
I enjoy conversation and am usually fun to talk to. I don't need a roommate for that, though it's nice sometimes.
I don't mind disagreements. I'd rather risk being wrong than bored or boring.
I speak French as well as English. I am also a translator. I lived in France.
I have an interest in Judaism but am not particularly observant.
I have lived in NY for 20 years. Originally from LA and other places.
My musical tastes are post-punk and 70s-80s "New Wave", French pop; classical...
I often work at home. But am also out a lot.
I see lots of films, art, things like that.
I am a non-smoker, and don't care whether you smoke or not.
I drink regularly in moderation (never get drunk). I don't do drugs or anything illegal and prefer that no one else here does, because it is safer that way.
I have no speciality dietary regimens (kosher, vegetarian, etc.), but don't mind if you do.
I like to be around people who are adults. (You'd be surprised at how many people aren't).
I can be a bit untidy and prefer to hire a housekeeper to keep things nice.
I'm not in the nicest neighborhood, but it's not so bad or far. Late at night, a taxi or Uber from the subway late night will not put you out much.
