Union City private furnished room, near BART

About the house:

Townhouse in the Pacific Terrace community. The house was built in 2007 so it's fairly new. It's a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath 1,675 square foot town house. Bottom level is the half bath and the living room. Up one level and there's the dining room, the den, and the kitchen. Third level is where the three bedrooms are. Washer and dryer are in the unit and are on the third floor. There are brand new carpets, flooring, countertops, and paint. There is also a digital keypad for the front door and garage, and the tenant will receive their own key code. Smart home features throughout the home including security, motion sensing and voice activated lights, etc.

The house is walking distance from BART and close to a variety of shopping/grocery/food options. There are shuttles that go across the Dumbarton Bridge that take off from the BART station for those working on the Peninsula. The house is also a straight shot to 880. There is a community pool with a clubhouse that can be reserved.

About the room:

The room for rent is the larger of the two available rooms and is for one tenant only. It is furnished with a bed frame, mattress, desk, chair, and nightstand, which are all in the pictures. Tenant will also have a permit-controlled parking spot for any of the parking spots in the complex. Tenant will share a bathroom with one of the current tenants. There is a possibility for the room to be furnished as the current tenant would be willing to leave his furniture behind, but he is moving out in 2 weeks so an arrangement would need to be made before then.

Rent will be $1,040 a month and I'll require a $1,040 security deposit up front. Tenant will be subject to a background and credit check. Move in date is flexible but mid-August to September would be best. Terms will be for a 1 year lease with the option of extending or signing a new lease at the end of the year. Utilities/internet are not included and are split among all tenants for an average about $60 a month per person.

About you:

Looking for a clean, responsible, and professional tenant. Tenant will be expected to contribute to monthly chores and keep common areas clean. Non-smoking, no pets.

About the current residents:

I am the owner of the house and I am a 29 year old male who graduated from UCSD in 2011 and got my MHA from the University of Washington in 2015. I currently work in Oakland and take the BART to work every day.

The other tenant has lived here for a year and a half and is a 29 year old male working in San Francisco. He graduated from UCLA in 2011 and got his MPH from Boston University. Tenant would be sharing a bathroom with him.
