I have a furnished bedroom in a 2 br, 1 bath apartment. I moved in with the intention of having short or long-term roommates, so I have been leaving space in the cupboards and bookshelves.
I am striving to keep my clutter- like maybe excessive craft supplies- contained withing my own room.
I love this place for it's proximity to transportation and entertainment: it's half a block from Piedmont Ave., yet it is super peaceful. It's a 4-plex, 2nd floor in the back. There are trees , birds, and light.
I have a job and interests that can be stressful, (I'm a teacher who is into social justice) so this is- on purpose- a quiet spot without a TV. I have people over occasionally, but more often, I go to them. I love animals but don't have any here. A bird, reptile or something small would be cool. Or an official support dog!
I prefer someone who has a somewhat compatible schedule. I am quiet after 10, but could be quiet earlier! I have lived happily with people of lots of different ages and gender identities. I speak Spanish as my second language. If you are in social work, education, grad school, health care or some other field where a calm home is a plus, this might be the perfect place for you.
There is not a dishwasher, nor laundry. There is a great laundromat a 4 minute walk from here.
I have lived with omnivores before. If you were a vegetarian, that would be amazing, but your food isn't a deal breaker. I'm more interested in clear communication and boundaries.
If you are looking for a place for only part of the week, I'd be happy to talk about negotiating a slightly lower monthly rent.
