Room in 2BR apartment near Piedmont Ave/Rockridge

Looking for a new roommate to take over an open bedroom in a great apartment and neighborhood! Old roommate is moving out end of October for grad school out of state. The room will be available for move-in as early as 11/1.

The unfurnished bedroom (~11'x12') is located at the back of the unit and has a large attached closet. It is furnished in these photos, but will be cleaned and empty by move-in time. Lots of natural light through 3 windows (corner bedroom). The wall furnace heater provides plenty of umph to handle the frigid Bay Area winters.

The apartment:
- Large, sunny 2BR, 1BA ground floor unit (4 unit building).
- Large, shared, fenced backyard/patio (shared with 8 units total). Nice neighbors.
- Doggo friendly. I don't have a dog due to pretty regular travel schedule, but I'm definitely open to living with one that someone else is responsible for!! Friendly, well-behaved dogs only.
- The building is pretty old so there are a bunch of quirky nooks, cabinets, and closets! Tons of storage space throughout apartment. Hardwood floors throughout except linoleum kitchen and tiled bathroom floors.
- No laundry on-site unfortunately, but several laundromats nearby.
- Rent controlled.
- I have the basic apartment essentials covered (cooking stuff, dishes, couch, TV, vacuum, Netflix, etc.).

Location:
- Safe, friendly neighborhood.
- 15 minute walk to Rockridge or MacArthur Bart stops. 3 minute walk to nearest AC transit bus stop into SF.
- Lots of street parking. Typically find parking within a block no problem.
- Walkable to several cool Oakland neighborhoods: 3 blocks from College Ave. 3 blocks from Piedmont Ave. 15 min walk to Temescal.
- 1 block from a giant, brand-new, 24 hour Safeway and shopping plaza (banks, quick restaurants, have etc.)
- 1 block from Blue Bottle and Starbucks...

Me (Kevin):
- 30 yr old, clean, laid back guy.
- Work in SF at an engineering firm. 8:30-5:30ish work hours.
- I enjoy skiing, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, hiking, concerts, traveling, golfing... On the weekends I'm usually out of the house or out of town doing one of these things.
- Typically pretty busy during the week with work, working out, sports leagues, and misc. events.
- Try to cook semi healthy when I have time.

You:
- Mid-20's to mid-30s guy or lady working professional with steady job/income.
- Clean, friendly, considerate.
- No couples or live-in significant others that stay over majority of nights.
- Non-smoker.
- Healthy, active lifestyle and hobbies are a plus.

Rent is $1040 + half utilities (usually $40-60/person total for internet, gas, electric). Security deposit is $1000. First month's rent + security deposit is required at move-in.
