Looking to fill my spare bedroom in a 2BR, 1 bath apartment starting February 1st. No couples please. The duration of the rented room is at least 6 months sublease, 12 months afterwards if you wish to stay and be part of the lease. Monthly rent is $1100; additionally, we'll be sharing the cost of PG&E and internet equality.(utilities are approximately $75 per person). LGBTQ friendly! No smoking in the building. I am cool with you having a small number of guests occasionally, as long as it's respectful and not excessive. I'm looking to keep it relatively mellow.
About me:
I'm 31 years of age and currently working at Trader Joes. I do my own personal side projects in web design and development. I'm also a bit of artist, so you may catch me drawing, painting, crafting, or playing an instrument of mine at home. I'm a pretty low-key but friendly person and keep to myself most of the time. I?m fairly clean and keep my place tidy, so I'm looking for similar qualities in a future roommate. The tenants within the building are respectful with the usual noise levels during the day and quiet in the evenings, so please no party-goers.
It's quite important that you're an animal lover, not only because I have a dog and cat of my own but the location of the apartment and building is dog friendly. I have a loving 9 yr Shollie that goes by Roxy. She's half german shepherd and half border collie. She's a smart, energetic love bug. As for Clover, my adopted 2 yr black cat, she usually is hidden or keeps to herself but when the mood strikes she can be quite the lovey cat. Unfortunately, I cannot welcome in more dogs or cats.
The apartment is roughly 850 sq. ft total
Room is 12 x 10 (you?ll be getting larger room of the two)
Large communal living space that serves as a work and creative space.
Washers and dyers in the building. Bike room storage.
If interested, there is an option to rent my assigned parking spot located in a secure garage in the building for $75 a month.
In additional to that, the neighborhood is also quiet and tucked away while still being a central location for activities and shopping.
Near by:
MacArthur BART/ 19th Street BART (1 mile/ 15 min. walk).
There's a Kaiser shuttle one block over, taking you to MacArthur bart (if you're having a lazy day)
AC transit lines, 5 min car ride to access the freeway.
Whole Foods, Sprouts, CVS, Starbucks, Brand new TARGET down the street!
Piedmont Avenue shopping strip (full of restaurants, coffee houses, gyms, yoga studios, and shops)
What I need from you:
Credit report
Last two months pay stubs (gross monthly income must be at least 2x the rent = $2200)
Government issued ID
First months rent - $1100
Deposit (one months rent) - $1100
I'll be meeting with potential roommates on Saturday 1/18 and Sunday 1/19.
