Hello!

We are looking for a third roommate to rent out a bedroom with a private bathroom in a three story townhouse located near the Oakland Zoo.

About the Home:
- Short 3 miles to the Coliseum Bart Station and 3.3 miles to the San Leandro Bart station
- Safeway about 1.5 miles away
- Inside a gated and secured community
- Super modern, with high ceilings, and very comfortable
- Deck on the 2nd level with a BBQ and view of the Bay Bridge
- No AC, only heater
- Washer and dryer

About the Room:
- Private master bedroom on the 3st floor
- Connected private bathroom
- Large closet
- Huge windows to allow for a lot of natural light during the day

About the Roommates:
Currently 2 male working professionals in their late 20s and early 30s live in the house. We are pretty relaxed and chill individuals, we chat and have the occasional roommate dinner that you're welcome to partake in. Pre-COVID, we hosted board games at our house every couple weeks and hopefully once this is all over we can start this back up. We are pretty quiet and respectful.

What were looking for:
The ideal roommate would be a responsible, respectful, working professional in their 20s or 30s with no pets and able to keep common areas very clean, especially the kitchen. Must have the ability to clean after themselves immediately after making a mess (e. g. cleaning pots/pans after cooking, wiping splatter, etc.), wash dishes after use, and take out trash/recycle/compost regularly. Have general environmental consciousness: composting, turn off lights when you leave a room, turn off water hoses outside if you use it. Be responsible and lock the door on the way out of the house.

Not a heavy user of fragrance/candles is a must, other roommates can be sensitive to artificial scents. No smoking, drugs, or heavy drinkers. As much as we like animals, this is a no pet household. Having friends over and the occasional overnight guest is ok, but no huge parties. Single occupancy only.

We also already have a dining table/couch and most kitchen cookware and won't have much storage space for any large furniture you would like to bring. There is a washer and dryer in the house along with a heater, but no A/C. There is parking inside the gates, but it will be tandem. So expect musical cars if you have one. Rent is $1,100 per month and utilities are not included; which averages about $80 per person a month. Looking for at least a 1 year lease term. This last roommate was here for 5 years!

To move in, you will have to be able to provide:
- Proof of income
- Credit/background check ($30)
- 1st month’s rent, and $1,300 for the security deposit.
