Searching for room for long distance commuter

I'm a long distance commuter and need to be in NYC for work 2-3 nights per week (not every week but most weeks). I'm looking for a place either in or commutable to northern Manhattan (eg., on the 1 or A lines).

What I'm looking for:
- Furnished, ideally
- At most 1000/month
- Locations are flexible but work is in Upper Manhattan so anywhere I can get to that on public transit - can do most places along the 1 or A lines
- Ideally flexible terms — month-to-month, 3-month minimums, or pay-per-night all on the table
- Starting ~September 2026
