Room wanted in Washington, District of Columbia...

I am a recent military retiree after over 25 years of service. I was lucky to be accepted into federal service with a remote job so my kids and I moved back to NY where we are from. Unfortunately, new president has ordered all federal employees to return to office and my office is the in the Navy Yard. I now will be working weekdays in DC while traveling back to NY to see my children on the weekends. It's the only way at the moment to keep paying the bills. Kids are only 5 and 3 so the adjustment is hardest on them since they are used to seeing me all day.
I am extremely clean. I just need a place to sleep during the weekdays. I don't really cook so most things are just microwave or easy to make foods which I will clean up after myself. And lastly just use the Wi-Fi to see my kids before bed.
