Looking for a house to share this summer ????????
Greetings! I?m currently a BU doctoral student in the field of early music. I completed my coursework last year so I?ve been working full-time in downtown Boston as an administrative assistant while I complete my dissertation and other remaining degree requirements.
For the past three years I?ve lived in a nice house with two other roommates in Brighton. It provides easy travel to BU everyday but since I?m finished with classes I don?t need to go to BU everyday anymore so I?m looking for places that would provide better public transportation options to my job in downtown. Currently I have to wake up at 5 everyday to get to work on time because of inconvenient T access; that?s been getting tiring. I?ve also grown frustrated with the complete lack of grocery stores within walking distance of where I currently live in Brighton.
As a roommate I like to keep things organized, participate in chores, be proactive in home improvement, be mindful of other?s schedules and needs, and maintain clear and open communication. I like to cook but I generally only do so two to three times a week. I try to be quiet and mindful of people?s sleep schedules. I usually don?t have guests over but maybe once or twice a month on average.
At BU I study early music since musicology is my main passion but I?m also very interested in philosophy, typography, graphic design, and programming. I also have other quirky interests such as science fiction, silent movies, and standup comedy to name a few.
I don?t have any pets but I?m completely open to having pets in the house. I grew up taking care of and loving a bunch of chihuahuas and cats and I miss them.
I?m looking for one to three roommates to share a house together somewhere in the Boston area. I?m not very picky about where just as long as it?s located near either the red or green line and has decent grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance.
Ideally I?d also like the house to have a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and reliable internet access.
Right now I pay $900 a month in rent but I can go up to around $1200.
My current lease doesn?t expire till August but I could probably sublease and be available to move as early as mid May.
