Professional seeking room near job in Hauppauge

I'm a 37 yr. old male professional and I am employed in a full time salaried position as a Design Engineer.

I'm a considerate person that's respectful of other people, their belongings, and their privacy. I do my best to clean up after myself in common areas such as the bathroom and kitchen. Personality wise I consider myself to be a friendly and sociable person. I am not a smoker, heavy partier, or drug user. Some of my interests and hobbies include art, painting, seeing live music, cars, hiking, camping, and kayaking.

I will give fair warning though that I'm a bit of a night owl so while I will absolutely NOT be playing music or watching TV with the volume up don't be surprised if I'm walking around a bit, using the bathroom, showering, or going to the kitchen late at night. I will always be respectful about being quiet but if you are an extremely light sleeper and a creak in the floor is going to wake you up at night and disturb your sleep I may not be the best roommate for you.

I am okay with sharing a bathroom, kitchen, and common areas like a living room although a private bath if possible would be great.

I'm not crazy about living with pets but if they are well behaved and not frequently barking, etc. I'm open to it.

Some amount of storage space would be greatly appreciated so I can downsize the current storage space I am renting. I have furnishings I can use if needed.

I realize that this may be a tall order but I would like to find a place that would allow for at least 1 off street parking space or ideally a garage space. I have a second car (an early 80?s VW rabbit hatchback) that I plan to bring out in June or July. I am fine with street parking my daily driven car and would not expect to have garage or off street parking for both.

Accordingly, I would also like to ideally find someplace to rent that would allow me to perform light car maintenance on my own as well if it's acceptable to the landlord. I won?t be tearing down a motor in the garage, but I would like to be able to replace my own brakes for instance.

I am looking for a June 15th or July move in date.
