Medical Resident seeking room for rent

What I am looking for:
-A room in a nice apartment, occupied by interesting a good people, that is ~30 minutes or less from Maimonides Medical Center. (Train, Bus, Bike, and Walk all options I'm interested in -- but my preference is near the D train.)
About me:
-I am a physician and starting my residency in Brooklyn (at Maimonides Medical Center). I am 30 years old and originally from Maine, and just completed medical school. I have family that lives in NYC (a sister and a grandmother, who live in Ridgewood and the West Village, respectively). I will obviously be quite busy with work but when I am at home/relaxing, I like to have a clean apartment, love to chill and enjoy my down time, but also enjoy being social, hanging out with friends, grabbing drinks/dinner, grabbing coffee, going out to movies, exploring NYC, and I love watching/playing sports and try to go to the gym. I also love to travel and have visited over 30 countries so far -- and future vacations should add to this :).
I'm neat, clean, friendly, and outgoing, and would love sharing a home with like-minded and good people.
Specifications:
-Rent + all costs (utilities, internet, etc.) at most 1500, less clearly preferable
-Above mentioned location/proximity
-Available to move in June (I'm flexible but definitely in June)
I'd like to know:
-What do the roommates do? Like to do?
-Are there any other fees associated with the apartment?
There's probably more to cover, but that's it for now.
