Looking for a month to month

I am currently working as a lab technician at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I enjoy many activities, including playing basketball or soccer (I am currently in a soccer league), doodling (mostly silly drawings, a little bit of water paints), and reading (I am currently on Guns, Germs and Steel). I play piano when I have one on hand (which is not often), I am mostly vegetarian and I have once tried to make home made pasta (it was terrible). I am pretty quiet but friendly, and I am very clean - I am the clean the dishes as I cook type, although sometimes I do leave a mug of abandoned tea lying around haha.

To give you a little bit of info about my situation: I looking for a place to stay that is month to month preferably, and I am looking for something from mid/end Feb as I might have to leave NC soon (I just need to find someone to take over my lease, and it is currently in discussion).
