$1000/month 2 blocks from grove street station 1bd
1 bedrooom available for $1000/month 2 blocks from Grove Street station.
1 bedroom available (8/1) in an apartment shared with 1 other person (me ha). I do not currently live there and it will come unfurnished. I don't have pets but I love animals and pets are welcome (refundable $500 fee). Besides 1 bath and a kitchen, there are 4 other rooms - 2 bedrooms and the other 2 rooms will be shared: I was thinking a smaller living room and an office/miscellaneous room OR we could each have 1 of the other rooms, but we can work that out.
I would prefer living with only 1 other person but couples are welcome at 1350/month
Little bit of a different set up in that the living room will be my bedroom, the 'master bedroom' would be yours, and the other 2 rooms TBD.
No, this is not a 'luxury' hirise with all the amenities, but it is only $1000/month/person, you have your own room (not some 'flex' 'room' in a closet), and it is 2 blocks from each Grove Street station, the main pedestrian walkway, and Van Vorst Park.
Currently without (but I plan on getting) a microwave and a portable washing machine
Walls can be painted so we can get a little creative.
ROOMMATE PREFERENCE(S):
What I'm looking for in a roommate:
Clean. Keeping common areas clean is important but also I know that sometimes we're busy or forget things and I'm not one to freak out over small things like that.
Respectful. I work in the office 3 days and from home 2. Being respectful of the noise levels and reasonably accommodating each other's lives.
ABOUT ME:
I am a research scientist with a background in psychological sciences. I love music - going to shows, listen to music, and creating some music myself. I care about life in all forms - humans, animals, nature. I go to the gym often. I go to breweries/get cocktails sometimes. I like cooking and definitely enjoy getting Indian, SE Asian, and occasional gastropub type fare. I am not conservative.
UTILITIES:
According to current tenants ≈ 100/month average, so maybe 50-75/person/month.
COSTS BREAKDOWN:
2 options:
1.) If you want sign the lease with me soon: it will be 2500 per person (2000 for stupid brokers fee, 3000 for security deposit/2 = you owe 2500). That needs to be paid to the realtor/landlord within the next week (by 7/6) and then first month's rent 2000/2 (you owe 1000) once we get the keys which will be closer to move-in date.
2.) If you don't sign the lease now it will be $3,500 upfront (5000 to secure it + 2000 for first month's rent/2 = you owe 3500
SHOWING:
I can't really meet you to show the place because I do not currently live there - though it could possibly be coordinated with the current tenants but they are very busy. I do have a video that I took when I was there which really helps give a sense of the place.
CONCLUSION:
Tell me a bit about yourself. I have the money and I'm being given first priority to sign this lease, and I will do so within the next week. Whoever seems like they would be a good roommate and can commit to the place the soonest will get it.
