Furnished basement suite in Shaw for short term

Our beautifully renovated English basement suite is avl for short term rentals only. It's located right in the heart of DC`s hip and trendy Shaw neighborhood. Shaw metro station (green/yellow lines) is across street, just 2 blocks away.

Shaw is edgy, hip and central to all DC has to offer - this is prime location. This location has a walk score of 98!
The basement has its own private street entrance, gets lots of light, and is around 450 sf in total. Landlord lives upstairs.

This rental is LGBTQ friendly.

The Location:

- Shaw metro is across the street
- Convention Center is a 10 minute walk
- Chinatown and Downtown are a 15 minute walk
- U- street and the 14th street are a 10 minute walk
- You can walk to capital hill /national mall in about 20 minutes
- Shaw neighborhood has lots of restaurants and bars, including some of the best in the DC metro area. Popular local spots like Convivial, Dacha Beer Garden, Shaw Tavern, Beau Thai, etc. are all 5 to 10 minute walk away.
- There are also two Compass Coffee shops within 3 blocks from the house - perfect for getting a cup of joe to kick off the day!
- The National Mall and Capitol Hill is about mile and a half away
- DC's largest gourmet Giant grocery store is at 8th and P NW, just a 5 minute walk away.
- There is also a CVS 4 blocks away.

The basement suite has a queen sized bed, sofa, tv, etc.
There is a full private bath. The kitchenette area has a bar sink, a dishwasher, an LG fridge, a microwave, an electric kettle, and a Breville countertop oven. Please note - there is no stove for coking, so this space is not suitable for long term living. There is a washer/dryer combo unit for laundry.

There is no separate thermostat - you can adjust the temp by closing or opening the vents. The space is well insulated - warm and toasty in the winter, and cool in the warmer months (e. g. usually between 69 to 72 degrees in summers).

No smoking of any kind. No drugs, no weed, no pets. No parties or events. No candles or incense. Must be fully vaccinated, and must show evidence of short term assignment/ detail in DC - landlord may ask for additional information/ documentation.

Ceiling height in basement is around 6'10 to 7'2 - which is common for renovated 100+ year old homes, and comfortable for most people.
