Clinton Hill - Large Bedroom w/ private bathroom
Are you ready to make beautiful Clinton Hill your new home !?
$1355/month, July 15th - Large bedroom in bright, spacious Clinton Hill apartment
Room: A large room is opening up for a female roommate at our Clinton Hill apartment for July 15th. The available room measures 11.5 x 18.5 ft. It includes 2 good sized closet (about3.5ft wide, 3ft deep) with storage above, and can easily fit a king size bed, dressers, bed-side table(s), desk and bookshelves with lots of room to spare. The room also has an en-suite bathroom attached that is for your personal use.
Apartment: The apartment has 5 bedrooms, including two additional full bathrooms (other than your own). There is a huge open-plan living room/ dining room and a separate kitchen. The foyer includes bicycle, jacket and shoe storage and there are multiple communal closets in the apartment. We’re on the 3rd floor of an elevator building with shared laundry in the building as well. Monthly bills come to roughly $60-70, sometimes higher in the warmer months due to a/c usage.
Roommates: Your new home comes with four roommates, (you’d be the fifth!) all female in their 20s/early 30s. The apartment is so big that it doesn’t feel like there are 5 people living here. Pre-COVID we all had our own busy schedules and would enjoy sharing the common spaces whenever our paths crossed. Because of COVID, most of the roommates are currently working from home. While we are vaccinated, we are still considerate of each other’s comfort level in regard to Covid and expect the same in return =) Most of us remained in NYC during the pandemic (and all of the anxiety that came with that) so we are slowly thawing back to life.
Neighborhood: Clinton Hill/Fort Greene. The apartment is located equidistant from the C and G subway stops at Clinton-Washington Avenues, which are around 3-5 minutes away by foot. Plenty of bars/restaurants/cafes in the area as well. The closest grocery store is 2 blocks away. We’re about a 10 minute walk to Fort Greene Park and a 12 minute walk to Barclays/Atlantic Terminal. It’s the best neighborhood I’ve ever lived in and I’ll be sad to leave it !
The move-in date is July 15th. To move in you’ll need half of first month’s rent ($677$), and a security deposit of $1355. We'll be initiating a lease amendment to place your name, and you will have the chance to renew the lease at the end of October, we are interested in long term tenants. You would have to show eligibility to pay, aka income of 40x the rent (of your room), unfortunately the company does not accept guarantors :/. Please note that the room rent may increase with the new lease on November 1st, but historically has not been a large amount.
We’re looking for a similarly aged female roommate to join us and also note that we can’t have pets in the apartment, unfortunately. If you are interested please respond with a description of yourself and your current living and work situation. Look forward to meeting you!!
