Bright, Beautiful Bedroom/Office Combo in Astoria

This is actually 2 rooms: a spacious bedroom / office combo for $1200 in a wonderful neighborhood in Astoria, Queens. The price includes both rooms. The bedroom is 11 x 13 ft, and the office space, directly adjacent to the bedroom, is 8ft x 13 ft. This is a great option for anyone working remotely or anyone who needs a home studio/gym. Both rooms pictured come unfurnished.

Both rooms have north-facing windows which look out onto a garden. It is very quiet at night since the rooms are in the back of the building. You also have a large closet and overhead storage in the hallway right outside the room.

There is a large kitchen and living room, fully equipped with all the essentials for cooking/lounging. Our bedroom and office are on the opposite end of the apartment, facing the street. One bathroom, shared.

The apartment is a 5 minute walk to the N/W Astoria-Ditmars train station and a 10 minute walk to Astoria Park and the East River. We are located right on a central street with lots of wonderful restaurants and bars. Very close to a number of different grocery stores. Laundromat on the same block.

About Us:

We are Anya and Morgan! Anya grew up in New Mexico and has lived in NYC for 12 years working as a professor at an art and design school. She is currently writing her PhD dissertation. Morgan is a native New Yorker who works in cyber security. He also has a long background working as a theatre director and actor. We love taking walks and cooking. We both travel regularly and are often out of the apartment, but do a fair share of work from home. As such, we're looking for a quiet, clean, and respectful roommate who has experience sharing space with others. We have both lived in the apartment for many years and love the space and the neighborhood.

Additional Information:

Unfortunately no couples and no pets as per landlord's requirements.

Move-in date is April 1st but is slightly flexible. The landlord will do a credit check and require proof of income. The agreement is month-to-month but we are looking for someone who can commit to 6 months to a year. Utilities are around $60 per month - internet and electric.
