1 room w/ private Bath in 3 bed 3 bath Penthouse

I used to Airbnb my spare rooms in my apartment - but with the laws changing in New York, I?ve decided to get roommates starting SEPTEMBER 1st in this 3 Bedroom - 3 bathroom uptown Washington Heights apartment.

Apartment & Location:

This is the penthouse of the building, so it is the entire top floor. Each bedroom has its own private en suite bathroom. The location is conveniently located one block from the 163rd street station where you can take the C, or 5 blocks north is the 168th street station where you have the A, C and 1. It?s approx a 5 min walk to the 168 station. Ideal for Columbia grad students- as Columbia Presbyterian Hospital is tight by the 168 station. International students also welcome.

There are a few grocery stores and several Bodegas/Deli?s in the neighborhood. A nice big Food Town opened about a year ago 3 blocks from the apartment. There is also a cute new little bar/pub on the corner of my street with live Jazz twice a week. Location also close to Fort Tryon Park and the Cloisters.

The Building: The building is one of the nicer buildings in the area and was redone in 2008. I have the whole top floor, including 2 private patios. Both rooms are furnished and currently has a queen size bed, two night stands with bedside lamps, a dresser and a double closet with your own private en suite bathroom.

I have lived in this building for over 5 years and I am looking for a kind, driven and clean roommate or 2, to commit to a long term (1 year or longer) sublet.

The ideal candidate is a young professional, female or male, MUST be clean and organized, easy going, respectful of space, and financially responsible. LGBTQ friendly.
Personality traits that will vibe with me will be a laid back person who likes to have fun and is not a homebody, but will respect the apartment as their home not a party space. A good communicator when bringing friends or significant others home. Finally, and most importantly someone who respects cleanliness, not leaving dishes in the sink, agrees to a shared cleaning routine and keeps the apartment tidy. I currently have a regular housekeeper, and we can continue to make use of her services and can be discussed.

We split all utilities (Con Ed), and WiFi/Cable (Spectrum) equally and apartment related expenses like cleaning supplies. We do not share food expenses or toiletries as you have your own bathroom.

Rent: $1900 incl. all utilities
