Room in Hyde Park - big apartment, good light

The Apartment: hardwood floors, separate living-room and dining-room/study, plenty of storage space, all common rooms fully furnished, front balcony, back porch, shared back yard.

The Location: one block from pharmacy, post office, and the new Hyde Park Trader Joe's supermarket. Five minute walk to various bars, restaurants and Whole Foods.

The People: my wife is a PhD student in Cinema and Media Studies. I'm a writer and part-time teacher. We're from Delhi and New York respectively and are out of town visiting home and family 2-4 months out of every year. We cook at home a lot, don't stay up late, have people over occasionally for dinner, cards, etc. We like to be on friendly terms with whoever we're living with, chat, share meals from time to time.

An note about the rent: the total rent for the apartment is $1580. We pay extra since there's two of us, so the other room is normally $640, but in months when one or both of us is away (usually about 4 months out of the year), the rent is an even split, so $790 per room per month. If we live with another couple, we'll do an even split at all times.

The lease begins on Sept 1st, but the room is available for sublet in August and possibly July, if needed.
