Riverside park is two short blocks away and Central Park is a 10 minute walk. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are both close by for easy grocery shopping. The 96th street subway is 5 minutes away, which has both the 2/3 express trains and the 1 train. The 2/3 train will get you to midtown in 7 minutes. The 1 train stop is 2 short blocks away.
