I am looking for someone to rent a beautiful master bedroom with a private bathroom and shared kitchen and living room in a two-story townhouse apartment.

The airy and bright master bedroom is spacious and features ceiling spotlights and a mirrored closet. The entire apartment has hardwood flooring and the walls were recently painted. Just opposite your master bedroom, you will have your own private bathroom with modern shower and toilet and a large vanity with a mirror. For your convenience, there are two parking spots in a gated garage on the first floor that you can use?I do not have a car.

You will be sharing a beautifully remodeled kitchen that is modern and clean. There is a stove, microwave, fridge, oven and?thank goodness?a dishwasher. Also, there is a washer/dryer in the unit for our own use and heavenly convenience.

As a further perk, the light-filled living room comes with a gas fireplace to make for cozy indoor evenings when it is too chilly to enjoy the balcony. For the warmer days there is an AC and additionally there is a rooftop terrace that is the ideal spot to enjoy the Californian sun and getting a tan as well as having drinks and dinner with friends.

There are a bunch of grocery stores (Ralphs, Vons, etc.) in walking distance. If you want to go to USC, there?s a bus 0.3 miles away from the apartment that takes you directly to campus in less than 25 minutes. Metro busses and trains to Downtown LA are also just a few walking minutes away from the apartment.

The rent is $1400 and includes all utilities (water, trash, gas, electricity, Wi-Fi). I accept month-to-month but prefer someone looking to make a one-year commitment and sign onto the lease with me.

YOU:
I am looking for someone friendly, respectful of noise (early morning or late night) and clean?as in very clean. Ideally you are in your 20s and you enjoy cooking the occasional meal together, going to the beach, or even becoming good friends and going on weekend trips from time to time. I do not have a preference for male or female, however, I would like someone who is stable and with solid financials. Sorry, no smoking, no drugs and no pets.

ME:
I was born and raised in Switzerland (yes, I can teach you German) and did my undergrad there with stints at Harvard University and the LSE. Additionally, I interned in in finance in NYC where I noticed that I enjoy living in the US. This encouraged me to obtain my doctorate from an American university which is why I am now a third-year PhD student at USC. In my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling, surfing, working-out, photography, fine-dining and exploring all that life in Southern California has to offer.
