Seeking Housemates for Renovated Bronx Home

Seeking housemate for a sunny, spacious, newly renovated home in the Bronx, with in-unit washer/dryer and large backyard. House is conveniently located on a residential street in University Heights very close to the subway (4mins to 4 train and buses, 9mins to B/D trains) and allows easy access to both Manhattan and Bronx sites of interest (Fordham University, Lehman/Monroe/Bronx Community Colleges, NY Botanical Garden, Bronx Zoo, Yankee Stadium, Bronx Night Market). This area has a ton of bodegas, gyms, parks, retail/grocery options, and we have great neighbors!

Current housemates are a diverse mix of students and young professionals (5-6 when the house is full). The home environment is laidback with value placed on community, hospitality, cleanliness, and conscientiousness about healthy practices amidst the pandemic. House norms also include not having significant others spend the night in bedrooms.

The house is large with bedrooms ranging from 18x8ft to 22x11ft. There are two bedrooms available starting July 1. The first is a fully private room for $900/month (photos #6 and #7). The second is a railroad style private bedroom for $850/month (photos #8 and #9) that another housemate walks through to access her bedroom. We have the capacity to furnish one room for an additional $50/month upon request. Internet is usually $33 per person; gas/electric has been around $50 when the weather is nice but rises during the winter months.

Additional information: common spaces (kitchen, bathrooms, living/dining room) are shared, no smoking/drugs, no pets. Applicants will be asked for credit score above 650, background check, proof of income (income must be at least 3x monthly rent or co-signer needed). First month's rent, last month's rent, and security deposit are requested at move-in. Short-term rentals are available for higher rent. A/C is available in the common area and may be available in one bedroom.
