Large room with Private entrance Park SLope!

I have 1 large room in my 2BDR apartment available for October 1st

My current roommate was only short term, I’m ideally looking for a longer term roommate.
Great space, large room with private entrance!! (So it feels like your own little studio), share apartment with just myself. Access to shared living room, full kitchen and bathroom. My apartment is fully furnished, so ideal for someone who doesn't have much in the way of furniture etc (but open to compromising as I? m ready for some changes to my apartment!).

Our rooms are at opposite ends and you will have a separate entrance, so it feels very private. There is a large eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and a nice size living room.

Your room has a bay window and nice view of the street. It has a separate private entrance to room so you can come and go without even having to come through the main apartment door.

Utilities and supplies usually run at about $50-65 each a month (a little more during a/c season).

About me: I’m a school based Occupational Therapist. Work in the school system; up and out early, home early. I am not working this summer as I need a break from burn out this year but I will be fully in person in September. I wear a mask at all times at school when interacting with staff and working with the students. (except to eat and drink water.. and then In a room without others). My students are disabled and are too young to be vaccinated and I strongly believe in community care and protecting those who are vulnerable.

Weekends spent skiing, climbing, camping, hiking, (slowly getting back into these things since the last few months) working in my community garden/veggie patch (so LOTS of fresh veggies i'm happy to share with you), reading, biking, cooking, baking, and surfing. I'm mostly vegan and I’m Gluten free. I have Celiacs disease so if you have gluten you have to be really careful with kitchen hygiene and cleaning.
I see my apartment as my quiet sanctuary when I do get to spend time here, although I'm not home often. (Again due to covid 19 my life like everyone else’s has significantly changed and I’m home a lot more than I used to be but With the summer weather I’m being outside a lot I still have A TON of veggies to share! Kale anyone!?? This winter I guess will depend on how things are with the pandemic)

I would consider myself and extroverted introvert and need a lot of quiet down time but also would like to interact and be friendly with my roommate when we both have time/energy.

One block from F, G, and R trains, and now CITIbike! 20 minutes to downtown Manhattan by subway, 30 minutes via bike!
About 10 min walk to Prospect Park, Whole Foods is a 6 min walk, and laundry nearby. Short walk to Methodist Hospital!
Great coffee shops, restaurants, bars, 24 hour delis, gyms, all within a block or two of the apartment
Pets are ok upon landlord approval. Couples welcome

Take Covid19 seriously. I am fully vaccinated but I’m still taking COVID super seriously. I wear a mask in indoor settings such as grocery stores and gym and only socialize outdoors with other vaccinated folks. I believe it’s important to protect our vulnerable community members including children who are unable to be vaccinated and the immunocompromised. I expect the same of my roommate. This is not negotiable.
Clean/considerate and active participant in keeping the apartment clean and tidy


Financially stable and LGBTQIA+ friendly!


Good references a must and would prefer you have lived with roommates before :)


Don't bring the party home, and looking for a chill quiet space to live.
