Room for rent in a 3 bedroom
Feel free to txt me at
Hello, hope 2020 is treating you well!
One of my subleasees of the last 3 years is relocating to be closer to work; which leaves me with a room available starting on Feb 3.
About the apartment and vibe:
The apartment is actually spacious and cozy. Kitchen, bathroom, and living room are shared. The living room currently serves as half living room/half gym - I have some portable gym equipment and weights there, that you can feel free to use. :)
There will be a bed, dresser and futon in your room left behind which you can feel free to buy and own, and we can discuss that. Your room has the better view of the rooms, and also has the fire escape. You also have a closet.
The building does have laundry machines in the basement but there are several laundromats nearby.
You will be living with me and my other subleasee.
30's, professional, pro health and wellness. I work in accounting and am also a musician. I get along with just about anyone I *think*; haven't had any issues there so far :). I will have been here 5 years come November. The area is safe (Haven't had any problems so far there either).
About my other subleasee:
30's, professional, works for the NYC Mayor, has been with me for 2.5 years now. Quiet and keeps to himself.
Please tell me about yourself!
My requirements are reasonable: please, be able to pay the rent on time (having a creative background is preferred but open to all as long as rent is paid :)), please be employed, and/or a student, clean after yourself, and chip in on chores. A link to social media is highly appreciated!
A security deposit of $1, 350 plus first months rent ($1,350) is required, to move in. You can move out anytime as long as a 30 day notice is provided; however, I do prefer someone who is willing to stay long term. Another male in their 20s-30s is strongly preferred. No cigarette smoking in the apartment.
Utilities are split three way and are usually no more than $50 a month. This includes wifi/internet tv, heat, hot water, and electricity.
About the area:
There is plenty of nearby transportation, including the following trains and buses:
Metro bikes on the corner of 118th and 3rd
The 2,3, & 6 train on 116th
The 2,3,4,5,6 at 125th
The M101, M103 AT 118th
The M102 at 116th
The M15 at 119th
There's a coffee shop up the block that just opened, and another one on 117th and Lex too that are getting some nice reviews.
Among many other things, Duane Reade, Dunkin Donuts, Rite Aid, Mc Donald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy's, Subway, Target, 7-11, & several great restaurants & pizzerias are close by; Central Park, NYSC, Blink Fitness, & Starbucks, are all within walking distances as well. Also nearby is the East River Plaza, which is home to Aldi, Applebee's, Bob's Discount Furniture, Burlington Coat Factory, Costco, GameStop, Marshalls, Old Navy, Planet Fitness, Target, and another Starbucks (located inside of the Target).
Feel free to ask questions; I will be doing the same! Looking to fill the room asap.
